About
An unbridled post-genre new-formist poetico-philosophico-essayistic treatise, The Polyglossophilia Bacchanale expertly and imaginatively fuses the rigor and epistemological nuances of theoretical elaboration, the rhetoric and playfulness of extravagant intervention, the style and spirit of poetic invention, and the reflective analysis of fictionalized autobiographical examination (of life and oeuvre), to fashion a radical literary experience unlike any other…A grand proclamation for an audacious polylingual literary praxis!
Author Bio
Amir Parsa’s bold vision of literature has engendered new genres and forms, new types of literary artifacts, innovative participatory projects, works off the page and in unusual spaces, original pieces online, and inventive creations in performative realms, in addition to more than twenty books. A pioneering multilingual writer and an internationally acclaimed poet, translator, novelist, and prose stylist, he has fashioned in the last two decades an uncategorizable and cutting-edge body of work at the vanguard of literature. His œuvre—written in English, French, Farsi, Spanish, and various hybrids—constitutes a radical polyphonic enterprise putting into question national, cultural, and aesthetic attachments, while opening new directions in various (neo)disciplines.
He has read, performed, and lectured in many different countries and cities, from Paris to Puebla, Girona to Bologna, Mumbai to Milan, and all across the USA and NYC. He was born in Tehran, attended French international schools in Iran and the DC area, studied at Princeton and Columbia, and currently lives in New York. He is the Founder and Frontman of The Elastic Circus of the Revolution.

A New Work by Acclaimed Multilingual Writer Amir Parsa
Brooklyn, NY — October 2025— UpSet Press is proud to announce the publication of Polyglossophilia Bacchanale, a 352-page literary tour de force by internationally acclaimed writer Amir Parsa. This genre-defying work is a significant contribution to plurilingual literature and a bold leap into a new literary form that blends theory, autobiography, poetry, philosophy, and fiction into a radical new practice.
This is Parsa’s fourth book with UpSet Press and a culmination of his decades-long exploration of polylingual creativity and avant-garde literary form. Polyglossophilia Bacchanale reads as a liberation manual for the polyglottic poet of the future. It is a fierce proclamation for new modes of circulation, creation, and being.
